Whoo, this was an adventure. It was the start of all the lockdowns, and Ron was in Australia for 5 months longer than his 3 week holiday. And it didn’t stop him and is good friend Simon Ross, but what a ride – all set to go and the internet was blown out all over the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. With a super-fast relocation to a friend’s office, Ron & Simon managed to get a live broadcast ready 30sec before they were due to go to air… Not enough lights but the music is still great… hope you love it. Looking forward to doing this again… thanks for all your support.. enjoy.

So How Did I End Up In Music?
First of all, thanks for taking the time to come to my site, and I hope you’re are enjoying your visit. And I’m thankful for all the support your giving me. Its a humbling experience to know how many people care.
So how did I get into the music industry….
The Beginnings
I’ve always wanted to be a musician, well, really a “Rock Star” … whatever that means! As a matter of fact when the career guidance officer asked that “what do you want to do when you leave school?” question, it was the answer I gave. Of course they looked back with that don’t be silly look on their face… “Now be serious”. But I was, and I was brought up believing in the pursuit of dreams.
One of my favourite quotes was “without dreams, life is like a broken winged bird that cannot fly”, so I got into music school and made some friends and started gigging around my home town Melbourne.
With time and effort, improving my skills and getting a few gigs a week. Writing material and Co-writing with one of my good friends Simon Ross, we recorded some great songs. One of our early ones being picked up by one of the leading Melbourne Radio Stations Nova FM for best emerging talent. With Simon going on to earn two Golden Guitars at the Tamworth Music Festival.
The Adventure
Supporting myself with some daytime sales jobs, learning skills that would come handy when it would come to making the move to the UK. I had learnt how to hustle and find gigs and bands.
I left Australia with a one way ticket, my guitar and a desire to make it work. I became the go to guy for any band missing a member, made friends, teamed up with fellow Australia Muso’s, and started to make my mark. All the time writing and recording material either with myself or co-writers
The Establishment
By 2010 bunch of friends that were already playing together with other bands, decided to form another band.
With myself and Julian McLaren as founders, it started originally as a side project to fill in gaps of the often busy touring schedules working with artists & projects such as Mark Owen, Peter Andre, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Marianne Faithful, The Darkness, Holy Johnson & Take That, to name but a few.
That was how our working band “The Dukes of Havoc” arguably the UK’s premier event and function band got going. Performing over 150 gigs a year.
So as you can see I know how to work an audience, and what moves and entertains them. It is these skills that I bring to each of my shows.
